Cassandra did it!

These are some of Cassandra's first steps. It is so fun to see her walking. Of course, she walks to Yai-Yai first, but this is without any help. She did this for about 30 minutes or so, and continued throughout the evening. She feels that she has to get a "running start" though between our coffee table and couch. She did it again today in the park, she walked to another mom that I was talking to. This is real now. I think the other times that she was doing it were false starts. She loves watching this video too.

Biking at Fox Run Park

Well, we really like craigslist. Why you might ask? We found such great deals such as a great trailer for Cassandra, also Corneliu got a great deal on a bike rack. So now, we are ready for exploring the beauty of Colorado, as we started to today.

There are some pretty amazing trails at Fox Run Park.

We really enjoy biking and Cassandra loves to come along. And this trailor is really cute because it has 2 seats, plenty of room for toys, and daddy has plenty of enery to go forever. Mommy enjoys coming with.

unspeakably cute

I love her, I love her, I love her!

She is so cute, she is co cute, she is so cute!

I have so much fun with Daddy

Corneliu loves to spend time with Cassandra and to play with her, because she definitely has daddy's energy and they really enjoy time together as you can see.

Picnic at Fox Run Park

Our precious little girl loves walking with mommy and daddy. She also loves to be held and she points to things all around her. She is now teaching daddy how to point at different things. "Great job honey!"

Well, this was Cassandra's fun part, because before that we did some biking and she sat in her trailer that daddy and mommy bought for her, and she was just enjoying the views in this wonderful park.

The suprise

We went to the "America the Beautiful Park" with Yai-Yai and Papa tonight. There was a big playground that we played at. These are some pictures from the park. Cassandra is sporting a new hat that Yai-Yai found for her. She wanted to get her a baseball type hat. It is great because she can not pull it off that easily and she really looks great in it, and it is pink.

But... Yesterday we went to the doctor with her. She is gaining weight and doing really good. Cassandra is now 23 pounds, 3 pounds more than last time yeah. She is also 30 inches tall now, 2-1/2 feet. The doctor was happy with her progress. But lately Cassandra has gotten into a new habit. She has been pulling her hair and eating it. We were considering something drastic and the doctor agreed that it would be a good idea. To stop her from pulling her hair, we gave her a new style. So, brace yourself and keep looking at the pictures.

Birthday lunch

So, after hiking for 2-1/2 hours, of course Corneliu is always hungry, so on the way home, Corneliu saw a nice place in Old Colorado City with wonderful trees and nice tables outside. Well, my husband asked me if I am hungry and we made a U-turn pretty fast to eat. So we went to the restaurant. The waitrest brought this newspaper but Corneliu asked where the menu was, because he had never seen a menu in a newspaper before. It was kind of funny to see his reaction because he was hungry like a storm and did not feel like reading the paper.

Corneliu's favorite drink: Orange Juice(at least it is healthy).

We want to thank Mom and Dad for being so hospitable and willing to spend time with our daughter and give us some time off every week so we can do things that we can't do with the baby.

Corneliu's Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well today was Wednesday, so mom took the baby. We started a little bit earlier and went hiking in the same place mom and dad went, "Section 16." It was a pretty amazing hike and afterwards we wnt in Old Colorado City and we had a good lunch. We had a wonderful time as husband and wife.

what we saw on a walk

It is always on the pathway between The Navigators and The Garden of the Gods that we see snakes. We were walking it today and bikers pointed it out to us. There on the path, soaking in the sun, was a baby rattle snake. I don't like seeing them close to me or the baby, but here they were. Hey Jeff, this is just another animal that you have to be afraid of when you come to Colorado. Well, Cornel took a stick and moved it off the path, it was not happy with that, but it did not strike anything but the stick. I hope that you all had a Happy Forth of July today!!

Another picture

Here is another picture of my wonderful husband a little closer. Click on it to see it up closer. Do you like his eyes straight. I am getting used to it and I really like them. I was used to his lazy eye, so it is an adjustment. The doctor did great and was pleased with the results. He is recovering from it and is happy that he took the risk.
