La Multi Ani Cassandra

Cassandra is 2 on December 31st, 2009. We had a birthday party in Romania for her. She was very sleepy. She saw the cake and blew the candle out, after we sang La Multi Ani, opened presents, and then went to bed. She didn't have a nap, and has to get some sleep before we leave at 12.

The Dora doll is from Ica and Bunica and Bunicu, she got a couple shirts from mom and dad, a dress from Damaris, a piano toy from the Baptist pastor and family, a pillow from Avrams family. She added a few pounds to the suitcases. She will like her presents when she is more awake.

The cat

Cornel thinks that we should get a cat for Christmas when we get back. Cassandra likes this cat but is also a little afraid of it. Enjoy this video. Cornel's family doesn't let it inside that much.

Castle Bran

We went to Bran after we visited Vali, because Mica had never been there. It was fun to tbe there again. We didn't go through the whole castle though because Mica was really getting tired.

This is the place were we took the picture for our wedding magnet. A little over 4 years later we did it again. I wish Cassandra was in this picture, but we left about an hour before her nap, so we didn't take her to Brasov.

This is when Mica called it quits. She was tired, and it is kind of scary. We let Flo and Ela go around, and Cornel and I waited with Mica. She was viewing that it was mostly younger people in the castle that day. Well, anyways, she can say that she was at Bran now =-).

Vali and Ana

We went to Brasov again to visit Vali and his wife Ana. This is the girls picture. Ana is between Mica and Ela. This was the first time that Cornel and I had met her. She is really good for Vali. We are taking pictures outside the Black Church, in the Centru.

Vali was telling us that recently a plaque had been stolen off of this statue. It was pretty heavy and we were joking that it could be found on Ebay.

Though these two are cousins, they look like twins. Both Vali and Cornel did YWAM together. That is were they really got close.

Fun in the snow

We went to the forest again on Christmas. Flo, Ela, Darius, Cornel, Marian, Denis, and I all got out of the house and had some fun. We took the dog with us, but being a puppy, he got really tired.

This is about half of Denis. He lost a lot of weight while working construction with his brother in Spain. He looks really good. It was good to be with him again. He played Remi with us and just talked with us. Cornel and him used to be best friends in Rupea, and they have renewed that friendship again.

They have really renovated this cabin. They painted it, it was brown, and put a place, a huge table with an overhang, for people to eat. Cornel, Denis, and I used to come to this cabin all the time. We cooked mici (hamburger like meat), corn on the cob, and a lot more there when I was in the Peace Corps.

The guys stopped to make a snowman in this snow. They had all the parts rolled and made, but being guys, jumped into them and destroyed them all. They also had a snowball fight. It is snowing again today, so there will be more snow in the forests again around here.
