Grandma and Grandpa's 64th.

Well my grandparents have been married 64 years now. We got together and celebrated that fact at my parents house last night. We all had a chance to ask a question about the early years of their marriage and had fun sharing those memories with them. We had Mud Pie for dessert, not from Old Chicago's, but good none the less. When I was young, we went to Old Chicago's and loved their version of Mud Pie. We ordered 2 slices once and realized that we hadn't said a word to each other until they were gone. We didn't want to talk while everyone else was helping themselves to our part of the dessert. We all had a sweet tooth, and that has not gone away.

Well, we just celebrated our 4th anniversary a few days before their 64th anniversary. They have a 60 year headstart on marriage. (I guess if they stayed together for that long we can too.)They are role models in their marriage.

She liked her second cousin Jesse. They were cute together.
We had a feast of Mexican foods. It was very good. It is always good to gather as a family and have some fun.
